Damaged by 2014 floods, Rathsuna-Tral bridge awaits construction | KNO

Pulwama, Feb 22 (KNO): Residents of Rathsuna in Tral have demanded construction of a bridge which was damaged in 2014 floods. Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the bridge in their area was damaged in 2014 floods and since then it has not been reconstructed. They said that they provided their land to get connected with Tral town and a road was also constructed. But the delay in reconstruction of the bridge over nallah Watal Ara has not brought any relief to them. Abid Ahmad, a local said that they walk on foot in absence of the bridge causing inconvenience to people. Locals said that they brought the issue into the notice of higher ups time and again but nothing has been done on the ground. An official said that DPR for construction of the bridge has been submitted and they expect the work on the bridge will be started soon—(KNO)
